Artwork Description

If you’ve ever worked on site, you know the rhythm — the plans, the lifts, the machinery, the long days, the heavy gear.

I’ve been a rigger for years, so that blueprint feel in the painting comes from a world I know well. The manifold in the centre is a nod to the machinery we use to move massive steel into place.

And the dye running down the bottom — that represents the sacrifice, the wear, the lifeblood that goes into building something bigger than yourself.

This one’s for anyone who’s ever carried the weight of getting the job done.

Artist Bio

Im Scuba, located in the western suburbs of Sydney.
I’m inspired by the tension between structure and spontaneity. The way bold colour, layered surfaces, and graphic elements can hold both energy and stillness at once. My paintings explore imagined spaces where construction becomes expression, and where visual fragments come together to form something both contemporary and quietly atmospheric.
