Artwork Description

The inspiration for a lot of my work is experiences and people or animals around me. My dog Rooibos is a rescue from a rough background and yet he still is so kind to everyone. So, I’ve tried to capture that no matter what you look like he will show you love and kindness. Highlighted by the use of a similar colour palette for the faces.

Artist Bio

New Prints coming soon! (Updated 12/4)

I am a greenhorn artist having only truly picked my pencils and brushes a year ago. I have always been scared to really try but found a true love for the ability to express myself through art.

I appreciate colour and the joy it brings me seeing it on a canvas or on paper. I have found many artist that have subtle influences on what I’m currently creating. There is a mix of abstract cubism with a dash of neo expressionism.

My interest in Jean-Michel Basquiat has encouraged me to be courageous in adding my truly personal touch. I love the work of Ian Jones from the UK and how he has incorporated a graffiti street influence to his neo expressionism.

Currently, I’m incorporating a colourful concrete foundation with cubist abstract faces. Next I intend on expanding into realism combined with a touch of street flair and colour.

Ultimately, I aim to enjoy what I’m doing and look forward to sharing it with others.
