Rare Breed - koala drawing is a realistic graphite drawing of a koala. Koalas are an endangered species due to road accidents, dog attacks, land clearing, and bushfires. The Black Summer bushfires of 2019/2020 killed a staggering 60,000 koalas. The Australian Koala Foundation estimates there could be as few as 39,000 koalas left in the wild.
I decided to draw this koala, and title it 'RareBreed' to champion our mighty koala. This cute and iconic marsupial needs our help. The Australian government has to implement better strategies and resources, to prevent catastrophic bushfire events in the future!
