Most of us know that humanity is changing the natural balance of Earth. Industrialisation | mining | deforestation | nuclear testing | fracking | population growth all have an accumulative, negative impact on the planet. This body of work is in direct response to the damage we are having on our planet. My intention is to keep these issues front and foremost. As humans, we need sustainability. We only have one Earth, and we need less than we reach for to survive.
Scorched Earth is a reminder that the planet is getting hotter.
ABSTRACTION is not considered an accurate representation of the world around us. Basically, it uses colour, forms, and gestural mark-making to convey the artistโs interpretation or vision. Abstraction is used to convey a story or evoke a feeling.
