Artist Bio

Stuart Evans is an Adelaide based artist, born in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, UK into an Artistic family .His late father, also an artist, James Evans enlivened his painting abilities, and encourage Stuart in his late teens to attend Art College. He studied numerous Art courses at Stanley St Art School (North Adelaide School of Art), then went on to complete Graphic Design, and ran his own freelance graphic design studio for a number of years.


His works have been exhibited at a number of community and regional shows, as well, undertaking commission for private collectors and charities, in Australia, United States and The UK. Recently having reignited a passion in bringing animals to life through his brush strokes in his Exhibition at Q-Gallery “Out of Africa”. This theme has continued with his exhibition at Adelaide Zoo Santos Conservation Gallery with the “Family Portraits” exhibition, plus also with RawArtists.org which also included examples of his contemporary works, and currently with Hiive Gallery in the Adelaide hills, where he was invited to exhibit with there SALA (South Australian Living Artist) exhibition.


Stuart has works displayed at a number of local galleries and has also featured in print with “InSide Out” Magazine. While his current works are mainly Acrylics on canvas, Stuart also works in range of other subjects and mediums, such as Pastels, oils, charcoal and pencil. He has just completed a collaboration with Smeg Appliances, the iconic Italian manufacturer to paint some of their unique 50's style FAB fridges.
