Abstract

A collection of my exciting and totally unexpected abstract work that I hope will make you smile but that you will also fall in love with them as well. They are colourful and usually I draw on Nature to create them. Some are carefully planned and a labour of love, others are a thought that expands rapidly on the canvas and form their own personality. Don't forget just because a painting has sold there is no reason why I can't create a similar one for you as i have done a number of commissions for clients. These paintings seem to be loved by my collectors. Enjoy!

With pink areas of interest set against beautiful emerald tones, this is a story of movement, fluidity and beauty. Everywhere you look there are pockets of colour to interpret and enjoy. There are soft intentional drips giving an added movement to the work and the Waterlilies have been created using a palette knife to keep the feeling of a glimpse or moment in time rather than accurate rendering. A painting to fall in love with and enjoy across all the seasons.

A wintry image with outlying farm buildings on the edge of a lake. There is an olde world feel to this piece with its gentle colour and calming air. There are two pines standing guard over the barn and the edges of the lake on both sides are tall and spare of leaves. I love the feel of this piece and I hope you enjoy it too. The treatment of the scene elevates the piece to a modern take on an olde world, classic piece that has been given a fresh take.

A abstract presentation of a vibrant coloured forest of trees that celebrate nature, the lake below the trees reflects the trees and colours of the sky. I think that sometimes life is a kaleidoscope of colour and this painting reflects that feeling. In this piece I was influenced by Mondrian. There is a feeling of a giant mosaic or mirrored reflections to this piece which is bright and colourful and will add a striking feature to your home. Being such a big piece it commands attention and the colour provides interest without being too overwhelming. It is a lovely fireplace piece or for a big wall in a lounge or entrance way. This one will keep viewers looking at all the interesting shapes and reflections.
