Bright Sun

Abstract landscape using impasto textures and bright slashes of colour. Layers of transparent paint are used to give depth and complexity to the abstract geometric-styled shapes overlapping each other.

Former newspaper artist now working in fine art. Drawing and painting, and using mixed media, my current works are primarily abstract in nature. My drawings explore shapes texture and tone, and a responsive technique I have recently developed. My paintings reflect a wabi sabi sensibility in terms of aesthetics and approach and most recently I have been working with acrylic paint.
