The painting is developed over a plaster surface, with multiple layers of paint giving a sense of depth and complexity. I have utilised texture and colour layers with a similar technique used in oil painting to create an inner space to the artwork.

Former newspaper artist now working in fine art. Drawing and painting, and using mixed media, my current works are primarily abstract in nature. My drawings explore shapes texture and tone, and a responsive technique I have recently developed. My paintings reflect a wabi sabi sensibility in terms of aesthetics and approach and most recently I have been working with acrylic paint.
