Artwork Description

After working in homewares for many years styling was always such a big part of our job. Attention to detail was always important. I have lots of styled areas in my home and my family always comment that nothing ever looks the same. This painting is of one such collection that I’d put together and it inspired me to paint as I thought it was so pretty.

I have lived in Torquay all of my life, being surrounded by the beauty of the beaches the motivation to paint was never to far away.
I find inspiration not only from my local area but also from places that I have visited.
My work often reflects my travels, the laneways, houses, the history that are part of everyday life of the town and its people.
I particularly love the beaches, the rocks, cliff faces, the way that colour changes not only with the light, but from state to state and country to country.
