Artwork Description

Whilst being lucky enough to visit Italy a few years ago, I stayed for 3 nights in the very beautiful walled city of Lucca. This is a painting of one of the quant laneways that I walked past everyday.
It’s a very typical laneway with a bike leaning against the building . To me it reflects most of old Italy and would remind us all of the travels that we not only had but still have to come.

Artist Bio

I have lived in Torquay all of my life, being surrounded by the beauty of the beaches the motivation to paint was never to far away.
I find inspiration not only from my local area but also from places that I have visited.
My work often reflects my travels, the laneways, houses, the history that are part of everyday life of the town and its people.
I particularly love the beaches, the rocks, cliff faces, the way that colour changes not only with the light, but from state to state and country to country.
