Spring has Sprung

I have always loved a pretty sunset and when I was travelling I took this photo,
It wasn’t as colourful in the picture but I wondered what it would be like if I exaggerated the colours and I’m very happy with the result.
Normally my pallet is quiet subdued but I managed a full kaleidoscope of colours and am thinking that perhaps I might try some more

I have lived in Torquay all of my life, being surrounded by the beauty of the beaches the motivation to paint was never to far away.
I find inspiration not only from my local area but also from places that I have visited.
My work often reflects my travels, the laneways, houses, the history that are part of everyday life of the town and its people.
I particularly love the beaches, the rocks, cliff faces, the way that colour changes not only with the light, but from state to state and country to country.
