Artwork Description

On a tropical holiday we sat on a boardwalk eating our dinner and this was the view in the distance .
It was so still and peaceful with the yacht’s moored for the night and the moon glowing on the water.
Tranquil Waters has been painted on a stretched canvas with the use of pallet knives. To give the water some texture I’ve used a pink undercoat which glows through the water and sky. Tropical Waters in set in a beautiful wooden white frame

I have lived in Torquay all of my life, being surrounded by the beauty of the beaches the motivation to paint was never to far away.
I find inspiration not only from my local area but also from places that I have visited.
My work often reflects my travels, the laneways, houses, the history that are part of everyday life of the town and its people.
I particularly love the beaches, the rocks, cliff faces, the way that colour changes not only with the light, but from state to state and country to country.
