Artwork Description

Winter walks is a painting which originally was a photo that I took many years ago.
As a family we were driving to Queensland and stopped in Coonabarabran NSW for a break.
In the photo my four children stood in the foreground playing with the autumn leaves,
The crisp blue sky and the contrast of the red gold leaves work well together and would bring a lovely feel to any room.
It’s very easy to imagine yourself wondering down the path between the trees.

I have lived in Torquay all of my life, being surrounded by the beauty of the beaches the motivation to paint was never to far away.
I find inspiration not only from my local area but also from places that I have visited.
My work often reflects my travels, the laneways, houses, the history that are part of everyday life of the town and its people.
I particularly love the beaches, the rocks, cliff faces, the way that colour changes not only with the light, but from state to state and country to country.
