Artist Bio

Sue Dyde is an Australian contemporary artist whose practice explores the expressive possibilities of colour, texture and movement through abstract painting and mixed media.
Working intuitively, Sue creates original artworks that invite viewers to look beyond the surface and discover their own interpretations. Her paintings are characterised by layered textures, expressive mark-making and a thoughtful interplay of colour, form and spontaneity. Each work evolves through an exploratory process, allowing unexpected details and organic elements to emerge and contribute to the individuality of the finished piece.
Sue is drawn to the freedom of abstraction, where emotion, atmosphere and personal expression take precedence over literal representation. Her approach embraces experimentation and the natural evolution of the creative process, resulting in artworks that can feel both energetic and contemplative.
With a strong appreciation for contemporary interiors, Sue creates original paintings that bring personality, depth and visual interest to a space. Her work encourages a personal connection with the viewer, offering something new to discover with every encounter.
Through her art, Sue aims to create pieces that resonate beyond their visual appeal, inviting curiosity, connection and an appreciation for the beauty of colour, texture and the unexpected.
Sue continues to develop her contemporary art practice and share her original works with audiences through exhibitions and art markets.
