Artwork Description

Inspired by the raw power of Antarctic waters and the vessels that navigate them, Ice Breaker captures the moment an ice wave crashes—cold, commanding, and full of motion.

Living in Tasmania, where the next landmass south is Antarctica, I feel a deep connection to the wildness of the Southern Ocean. This painting reflects both the physical force of nature and the emotional strength of those who face it. It’s a tribute to exploration, resilience, and the beauty found in extremes.

Artist Bio

I’m a Tasmanian artist and art therapist whose work is shaped by the wild beauty of this island and the transformative power of creativity. My paintings are intuitive, layered, and emotionally charged—born from a belief that beauty can be bold, messy, and healing.

As an art therapist, I’ve seen how making art can unlock emotion, shift energy, and reconnect us to what matters. That same spirit lives in my work. I paint to explore the tension between chaos and calm, drawing from nature’s textures and the inner landscapes we all carry.

Each piece is a conversation—between colour and feeling, viewer and memory. If you’re drawn to art that resonates beyond the surface, that feels raw, reflective, and alive, I invite you to explore my collection. My desire is that each painting stirs something deeper, something that lingers in the soul.
