Artwork Description

The sea off Tasmania’s wild West Coast is no gentle companion—she’s a force of nature, powerful and unpredictable. Calm one moment, fierce the next, she rises with the wind and beckons you to look deeper beneath the surface.

This piece was born from hours spent watching the waves shift with the sky, their rhythm both soothing and untamed. Painted with layered blues, greens, and whites, She Rises captures the spirit of a wild woman—free, bold, and impossible to contain.

Artist Bio

I’m a Tasmanian artist and art therapist whose work is shaped by the wild beauty of this island and the transformative power of creativity. My paintings are intuitive, layered, and emotionally charged—born from a belief that beauty can be bold, messy, and healing.

As an art therapist, I’ve seen how making art can unlock emotion, shift energy, and reconnect us to what matters. That same spirit lives in my work. I paint to explore the tension between chaos and calm, drawing from nature’s textures and the inner landscapes we all carry.

Each piece is a conversation—between colour and feeling, viewer and memory. If you’re drawn to art that resonates beyond the surface, that feels raw, reflective, and alive, I invite you to explore my collection. My desire is that each painting stirs something deeper, something that lingers in the soul.
