Artwork Description

Crossing the Bass Strait is never just a journey—it’s a confrontation with nature’s raw force. Calm one moment, wild the next, the strait becomes a living entity, with tendrils of foam reaching skyward, unstoppable and untamed.

This abstract seascape captures that tension and unpredictability through layered blues, greens, and whites, evoking movement, chaos, and resilience. Painted with emotion and intuition, it reflects the inner storms we weather and the strength we find in facing them.

Artist Bio

I’m a Tasmanian artist and art therapist whose work is shaped by the wild beauty of this island and the transformative power of creativity. My paintings are intuitive, layered, and emotionally charged—born from a belief that beauty can be bold, messy, and healing.

As an art therapist, I’ve seen how making art can unlock emotion, shift energy, and reconnect us to what matters. That same spirit lives in my work. I paint to explore the tension between chaos and calm, drawing from nature’s textures and the inner landscapes we all carry.

Each piece is a conversation—between colour and feeling, viewer and memory. If you’re drawn to art that resonates beyond the surface, that feels raw, reflective, and alive, I invite you to explore my collection. My desire is that each painting stirs something deeper, something that lingers in the soul.
