"Autumn Feels" is a deeply textured, emotionally layered work born from the quiet rituals of seasonal change. Inspired by the fleeting beauty of autumn, the way light softens, leaves surrender, and everything turns golden before letting go, this piece captures that in-between space where transition meets stillness.
I created this piece using a rich combination of acrylic paint, graphite, and ink, layered over hand-applied textures and vintage papers. The surface was intentionally distressed and marked with subtle etched lines and gestural strokes, symbolising both the marks time leaves behind and the stories that emerge when we slow down. The pops of burnt orange and soft charcoal echo fallen leaves, woodsmoke, and the warmth of cozy interiors.
It’s not just about autumn as a season, it’s about the feeling of autumn: reflective, grounded, a little raw, and quietly beautiful.
Hung in a room, "Autumn Feels" brings an earthy, soulful energy, perfect for spaces where you want to feel rooted and inspired. It adds warmth without overpowering, and its neutral base with hints of rust and charcoal complements both contemporary and rustic interiors.
