Nalini translates to Lotus in Sanskrit, which also happens to be my mother's name. This was from photograph taken in the wetlands of Kakadu, so has a deeper connection to my adopted country as well
I am a self taught artist who started painting for a therapeutic purpose. I mainly use watercolours. I hope you like them as much as I enjoy painting them. I love colours the play with light and shade and particularly like the translucency and flow of watercolours. I delight in harnessing the energy of the colours as they flow on to the canvas.
