What was I photographing with that Emu? A little Bush Stone Curlew was hiding behind some grass behind a fence- thus the photography was hazy and strange bubbles appeared on it but I liked this bird so much that after taking much clearer images a few months later decided this was the one I wanted to paint but what I saw was a little face peering out the dark- what I created was rainbow and bubbles and a colourful but softer image of this Australian bird. I wanted to show those big yellow eyes and the lovely outline of the feathers as well as the curiosity- although this look may have been the realisation that Emu was there before I realised. The price includes a Victorian Ash floating frame that will require 1 week to complete with hard backing for added protection and certificate of authenticity.
