Rainbow Bee-eaters are small migratory birds that are hard to find and photograph due to their erratic flight patterns and seasonal appearances in Canberra, however we were delighted to discover this family with a baby after one 500 km trip to NSW to discover more birds to photograph. Definitely worth the drive and yes they do eat bees as well as other small insects. The pricing of this artwork includes a Victorian Ash floating frame with hard backing that will require 1 week to craft after ordering. Please see Crested Pigeon for a example of our floating framing. Art and Photography Australian birds Gallery S Willemse source their wood from Victoria, Australia and have it shipped up to Canberra for consistency and quality control, the tools for framing were also ordered interstate. Paints and canvases are sourced locally and airbrush parts internationally. A Certificate of Authenticity shows that all parts of the production phase- from photography, painting to framing are our own work and ideas, this gives you the buyer peace of mind in purchasing for this Authenticity Certificate states that the artist holds copyright ownership of this work including the reference photographs. Of note is that the copyright on all our photography is S Willemse, this is because my husband (Steven) and I do photography together and the signature I use on the canvas backing is S Willemse (Susan) as well.
