Spinebills are nectar feeding Australian birds that love Kangaroo Paw native plants, so called because of their resemblance to kangaroo paws! After a stunning day photographing these birds amongst the meter tall plants it was out with the airbrush to capture this moment on canvas. Of note was the wait at the botanical gardens to get into position to photograph these birds as other wildlife photographers had the same idea in mind- a picture worth waiting patiently for.
