This artwork shows three Galahs in a gum tree, two are boys with dark eyes and the one in the middle is a female with red eyes. The younger Galahs have grey feathers like in the last photograph shown so these are fairly mature as well. Thus just by looking at details one can learn a great deal about these birds as well as appreciate their beautiful colors, great personalities and sounds. These birds however have earned a reputation of being not as clever as other Australian parrots and the saying "don't be a Galah" is not complimentary. I did however enjoy creating this artwork with feathers.
