This artwork shows two young Wedge-tailed Eagles learning to fly. The third bird is a watchful parent. This is a painting of our special place- every person who meditates knows how valuable it is to have one, "down by the Eagles nest". We were privileged to watch these two majestic birds grow up over several months until my leg went, too many hours behind the microscope resulted in DVT- a potential life threatening condition normally reserved for frequent flyers. It was these two birds that inspired me to keep walking though- no matter how painful- I needed to see the waterfall, the tall tree, the river and of course the birds again. Strangely watching these birds gives you the courage to accept that some must perish so others can live- they had Cockatoo one Sunday morning for breakfast, it also showed us how rough life can be, how protective parents can be and how lovely it is to see young ones thrive and become independent, something I can recommend to everyone looking for the meaning of life.
