When visiting a friend recently, her small child was playing with Wooden Shaped Building Blocks. The colours and shapes caught my imagination and resulted in this artwork; a harmonious composition characterized by its fluid symmetry and vibrant color palette. Colourful shapes, circles and lines intersect and converge, creating a dynamic yet cohesive structure. The lines guide the viewer's gaze across the artwork, seamlessly connecting the various elements. The blocks of color are thoughtfully arranged, each hue contributing to the overall harmony.
Together, these elements create a visually engaging experience that flows gracefully, inviting viewers to explore the balance and rhythm within the painting. The combination of circles, lines, and color blocks results in a pleasing aesthetic that is both structured and fluid, making it a captivating piece for any audience. A colourful and fun piece.
On stretched canvas, it is finished in a satin varnish (please note that all images are taken before the varnish to reduce reflection). It has a timber frame and the back of the canvas is professionally finished.
Note that insitu examples may not be to scale.

Spirit of the Wind captures the ethereal essence of movement and change, with a figure emerging from the east like a gentle breeze. Painted in serene shades of blue, with hints of green and purple, the figure appears to drift effortlessly against a soft, white, and pale-yellow backdrop. This minimalist composition evokes a sense of tranquility and flow, as if the air itself is imbued with quiet energy, bringing a peaceful, dreamlike quality to the piece.Cool greens, soft greys with pops of bright yellow. Shapes and circles make a peaceful and chilled image.Mid-Century Modernism was a vision of the future and progress, a utopian way of living. A time where art aimed for expressiveness and a decorative effect. Geometry of the shapes were used to transmit energy and a lively and irregular surface gave a more tactile tone, playing with space and three-dimensionality.Our Australian Forests are full of life, in this piece she starts laying down a collection of her collage paper to give an immediate feel of depth; this encourages her to place trees, undergrowth, bushes, vines and all other wondrous rainforest flora into the piece. The aim is to create complexity and mystery. heir dense foliage and colour compete for your attention; so many luxurious shapes and shades.
