Peaches with Cream

Peaches and cream aren’t just a delicious dessert — it’s a great color combination too and nothing quite says "summertime" like a cheerful palette of peachy colors - from light pinks to soft orangy tans. Here we have peaches, jug of cream, dessert cutlery and bowls floating around the canvas. It is a yummy piece that excites the appetite and provides memories of delicious sweet experiences.

Peach has different tones and shades, depending on how much white is mixed with the base colors of orange and yellow. The color can be soft and muted, or bright and vibrant. Cream appears bright and crisp against a vibrant peach, creating sharp contrast. A pale peach and muted cream will create a warmer, gentler combination. Light pastel peaches are often seen as sweet, pleasant, and friendly. Bright and intense peach colors, on the other hand, can symbolize vitality, energy, playfulness, and encouragement.

This piece was created using quality artistic acrylic paint, and other mixed media. My favourite tools are spatulas, brushes, wedges and my hands! Nothing is more tactile and makes the piece unique to myself than manipulating the paint with my fingers along with combining mediums to create multiple layers and textures.

On stretched canvas with gallery finished edges matching the face, it is finished in a satin varnish (please note that all images are taken before the varnish to reduce reflection). Back of the canvas is professionally finished.
