I am inspired by things I see in daily life, especially unusual combinations of shapes and colours. I also like little quirks, something twisted or broken or out of alignment which gives a painting a distinctive personality.
I have been an art teacher for many years and investigated many styles of painting. I always return to Hard edge painting as it satisfies my need for technical detail as well as my love of colour. I am inspired by things I see in daily life, especially unusual combinations of shapes and colours. I also like little quirks, something twisted or broken or out of alignment which gives a painting a distinctive personality.
