Night Out

I started this as completely different painting in my mind and developed as I went with the buildings and the cafe’s. It has a Mediterranean feel. People getting ready to have a meal and a night out. I added the people as I went and at the end put a little dog. Give a bit of atmosphere to a room as you can see all sorts of interesting detail when you look at this painting.

I am a Currumbin, Qld Artist and started painting about ten years ago. Took lessons for about four years and then joined "Leisuretime at the Uniting Church, Elanora" After a few classes they asked me if I would teach. It is volunteer work. Have painted at demo's at the Gold Coast Show, Art Shows and events on the Gold Coast.
I work in Acrylic and mixed media and love using the pallet knife and experiment with different textures and try different ideas.

I have won second prizes at the Gold Coast Show and sold at many art shows and my paintings have been displayed at many Restaurants and at Conventions in Hotels in Qld and NSW. I have my paintings in private collections in Australia and Overseas.
