Suzanne is a Brisbane artist with a strong background in the visual arts. Her current body of work centres around the familiar bayside landscape of Moreton Bay, from creek to coast and the islands beyond, with a focus on immersion, memory and layering.
Having majored as an interdisciplinary artist, Suzanne's current body of work has gravitated towards a focus on mixed media drawing and painting. The physical process of mark making has always been a big part of Suzanne’s practice. Although her previous art studies took her in a more conceptual focused direction, she believes that the layering and blending of colours in the paint medium best represents her current practice to signify the changing atmosphere and tides of the familiar bayside landscape which inspires her artwork.
Suzanne's art is an invitation to pause, to reflect, and to celebrate the profound beauty that lies within the familiar, the ordinary, and the in-between.
