Artwork Description

Emanate

No. 3 of the Exuberance Collection
102cm high x 102cm wide x 3.5cm depth

⸻

An intuitive mixed media painting built through layered colour and movement, resulting in a one-of-a-kind work that cannot be replicated.

Emanate is the anchor piece of the Exuberance Collection — a bold expression of confidence, vitality and forward momentum.

Created using layered acrylic ink and acrylic paint, colour is allowed to move freely across the canvas — fluid, expressive and unapologetic. The composition builds through energy rather than control, resulting in a work that feels alive with motion and intention.

This piece is designed to radiate outward — filling a space with optimism, strength and presence. The movement and saturation work together to create a visual rhythm that is both energising and balanced.

Part of the Exuberance Collection, this work explores prosperity in its fullest sense — emotional, creative and personal growth. It celebrates expansion, courage and the freedom to take up space.

Created through an intuitive layering process, each mark responds to the last, allowing the composition to evolve naturally. This ensures the work remains completely unique, with a sense of movement and energy that cannot be repeated.

At 102cm square, Emanate commands presence while maintaining compositional balance — ideal for collectors seeking a statement piece that energises and uplifts a space.

Room settings are a guide, please check measurements to be sure of the size.

Artist Bio

Suzanne Carter is a contemporary Australian mixed media artist based in Tomakin on the NSW South Coast.

Her practice explores connection as an evolving experience, expressed through multiple visual languages that move between sculptural textile form and expressive abstraction. Working intuitively, she builds each piece through a process of response and refinement, allowing compositions to develop their own rhythm, movement and energy.

Suzanne’s current collections — including Botanicals, Woven, Deep Reflections, Exuberance and Koi — explore different expressions of connection, from nature-inspired forms to quiet introspection and bold, energetic movement. Her work often sits between painting and object, particularly within her textile-based pieces, where hand-constructed elements introduce depth, structure and tactile presence.

An award-winning artist, Suzanne has received Champion and First Prize at the Moruya Agricultural Show and multiple awards including the Royal Canberra Show 2026. Most recently, she was recognised with the Service Art Award at the South Coast Private Hospital Wollongong Art Exhibition, acknowledging artistic achievement and creativity of service personnel.

Her work is increasingly collected for its contemporary presence, emotional depth and ability to transform a space, with a growing audience drawn to both her sculptural textile works and expressive abstract paintings
