Subtly Bound
No. 2 of the Woven Collection
184cm high x 92cm wide x 5cm depth
⸻
A contemporary mixed media artwork combining hand-cut textile and paint, creating a tactile, sculptural surface that shifts with light and perspective.
Subtly Bound is a large-scale original work exploring quiet connection and the delicate bonds that shape us. Three softly formed links rest within muted, gentle tones, suggesting closeness without constraint and relationships held with care rather than force.
A luminous accent of gold acrylic paint moves through the composition — both grounding and radiant — symbolising individuality and inner warmth shining through even the most subtle ties. The interplay between structured woven elements and softness creates a work that feels both intimate and architectural.
Created using carefully layered coloured textiles integrated with paint, the surface holds depth, movement and variation. While the composition follows a considered design, no two works are ever identical — each carries its own subtle shifts in texture, placement and energy.
Designed to anchor a space, this statement piece brings warmth, balance and quiet strength to contemporary interiors.
