I travel with my imagination, creating dimensional artworks that use my photographic portraits as a base, a representation of people and their culture. The World Fusion series was inspired by the inability to visit foreign lands during recent years, and combines my photography, visual art and floristry skills together with found and created treasures from within my art studio. This particular piece was inspired by the memory of bride walking around the streets of Fushima-Inari. Japan is a country where the ladies are often very shy when being photographed, and the chosen base image is a true representation of my experience while there. Combining this image with my love for Japanese characters, papers and Origami was a natural progression.
