Pastel on paper
Signed on the front.
The twirls and curls of the infamous Cafe au Lait Dahlia entices you into her beauty. One day her petals are a creamy champagne colour and the next a pink; changing her flamboyant dress. The bees go crazy for her.
My first time growing this type of Dahlia, I was in awe of the very first flower, the size of a dinner plate but subsequent flowers were of different sizes. Of course I had to paint her.
This artwork is a Pastel, the dark background really makes the flower βpopβ. It will need to be framed behind glass for protection.
