Artwork Description

Lost in the Layers La Tremiere”
• Contemporary Impressionism: Captures the "feeling" of light rather than literal detail.
• Pointillist / Staccato: Refers to the distinct, repetitive, block-like brushstrokes.
• Optical Mixing: The way colors sit side-by-side to "blend" in the viewer's eye.
• Gestural Abstraction: Expressive, visible movement in every mark.
• Atmospheric Perspective: The shift from dark/heavy at the bottom to light/airy at the top.
Color & Visual Elements
• Jewel Tones: Deep plums, magentas, and emeralds.
• Dappled Light: The "shimmering" effect of sunlight through leaves.
• Luminous: The painting appears to glow from within.
• Saturated: Intense, high-pigment color choices.
• Textural: The "layers" referenced in the title are physically suggested by the paint.
Subject & Vibe
• Botanical / Floral: Evokes a wild garden, meadow, or forest floor.
• Ethereal: Airy, light, and almost otherworldly at the top.
• Rhythmic: The repeating vertical strokes create a sense of musicality.
• Immersive: A composition that feels like you could "walk into" the overgrowth.
• Organic: Inspired by the chaotic yet balanced structures of nature.
In Lost in the Layers, Tremiere breathes new life into the Impressionist tradition, channeling the movement’s obsession with light, atmosphere, and the fleeting sensory moment. Rather than a static landscape, the artist captures the "vibration" of a garden, utilizing a modern, structured take on Pointillism.
The composition thrives on optical mixing. Instead of blending pigments on the palette, Tremiere places staccato strokes of pure magenta, lavender, and mint side-by-side. From a distance, the viewer’s eye synthesizes these distinct marks into a shimmering, cohesive field of color. This technique creates a luminous energy, mimicking the way sunlight filters through a dense thicket of wildflowers.
The work moves through a sophisticated atmospheric perspective. The lower register is anchored by "heavy" strokes of deep burgundy and forest green, providing a grounded, earthen weight. As the gaze ascends, the density breaks into an airy, pale aquamarine sky. This transition creates a sense of immense depth, inviting the viewer to step into the "layers" and lose themselves in the dappled, rhythmic light of a reimagined nature.

Artist Bio

From my earliest memories, I have been a maker of worlds with pencil and brush. I can still see my father, proud, placing my drawings on display—moments that planted the seed of a lifelong devotion to art.

Painting is my passage to another realm: a space alive with color, pattern, and thought in its purest form. Often, the work itself whispers the next stroke, guiding me as initial intentions transform into unexpected visions.

I am inspired by the luminous elegance of Klimt, the flowing lines of Mucha, the intricate beauty of Morris, the bold grace of De Lempicka, the ethereal light of Monet, and the daring, vibrant energy of Picasso and Matisse. Their echoes are woven into my own visual language, a celebration of inner beauty, the sacredness of nature, and the invisible threads of energy that connect all things.

Professionally trained with a degree in Creative and Visual Arts (2016), I have been fortunate to share my work in exhibitions, where it has found homes and hearts to dwell in. Each piece is both a reflection and an invitation—to pause, to feel, and to see the world as a tapestry of connection and wonder.
