Artwork Description

Warm, earthy and full of texture, Burnt Earth is a 30cm round sculptural textured artwork inspired by the colours and contours of the Australian landscape. Rich terracotta, copper and clay tones flow across the surface, creating depth, movement and organic detail that changes beautifully as the light shifts throughout the day.

This piece is perfect for those smaller spaces that can be surprisingly difficult to style. Whether displayed on a bookshelf, entertainment unit, hallway shelf, console table, bedside table or nestled amongst your favourite home décor pieces, it brings warmth, texture and visual interest to any space.

One of the most captivating features of this artwork is the way it responds to changing light. In natural daylight, the softer bronze and clay tones reveal subtle textures and gentle movement. As evening falls, deeper terracotta hues emerge and the sculptural details become more pronounced, giving the artwork a richer, more dramatic appearance.

With painted edges and a dimensional finish, Burnt Earth has a sculptural presence from every angle, making it equally suited to shelf styling or wall display.

A one-of-a-kind original artwork designed to bring warmth, texture and a sense of calm to your home.

Artist Bio

Suzie Firth is a Melbourne-based artist creating original textured artworks inspired by the Australian landscape and natural world. Working with mixed media on canvas and wood, she creates sculptural pieces designed to bring the quiet beauty of nature indoors, creating spaces that feel calm and connected to nature.

Inspired by the colours, textures and patterns found in nature, Suzie embraces an intuitive approach to painting. Creating art is a grounding ritual that allows her to slow down, be present and disconnect from the busyness of everyday life. Rather than working to a strict plan, she lets each piece unfold organically, building texture and subtle sculptural detail over time until it feels complete.

Her hope is that each artwork offers more than something beautiful to look at. She hopes it becomes part of a home—a piece that invites people to slow down, pause for a moment and enjoy the space they're in.
