Svea Chang is a Gippsland-based artist who works mainly in acrylic art. Svea holds a Bachelors degree in Visual Communication Design from Chao Yang University of Technology, Taiwan, and is a full time painter since last year.
Svea was born in Taichung City in Taiwan. Having grown up with her elder sister who is an art teacher, she feels that painting is always a big and important part of her life. Painting gives her the energy to speak to the world. Since she arrived in Australia, Svea has been fascinated by the colour and the elegance of the flora. She always cherishes her connection with the flowers and this connection gives her the inspiration to pursue her painting. Svea believes that Australian flowers are spectacular, especially Eucalyptus. She is a very determined person, so she likes to paint in fine detail and it is always reflected in her paintings. She is grateful that she can capture the elegance and grace of the flora for others.
