While visiting a local market in Japan I spotted a group of young women on an outing in traditional dress. The three in the art work were chosen from the group to complement each of their kimonos. The simple backgrounds enhances the the beauty of their traditional dress. It reminded of the Gilbert and Sullivan "Three Little Maids".
