Artwork Description

Dominated by a deep, rusty red that commands attention, this acrylic painting on canvas captivates the eye with its dynamic arrangement of shapes and colors.
At the bottom, a stark white rectangle acts as a grounding footer, providing a contrast to the rich tones above. Rising from this base are two squares, positioned centrally, that draw the viewer's gaze. The larger square, painted in a bold, almost trivial shade of pink, serves as the foundation upon which the composition builds. Hovering atop it is a smaller square, vibrant in a bright red, creating a compelling visual interplay between the two shapes.
Crafted from straight black lines, the partial frame is adding a sense of structure and balance to the overall design.
In its fusion of color, form, and geometry, this piece of art invites viewers to contemplate the interplay of elements and to find beauty in the harmony of contrasts.

Artist Bio

Creating art gives me a lot of joy and I find it therapeutic. When creating, I often seamlessly shift between painting on canvas, pencil drawing, and digital art—all in a single day. This approach allows me to explore diverse mediums. Stepping back and revisiting works later helps me have a fresh perspective on my work.
Lately, I have been inspired by mid-century modern design and abstract expressionism, infusing my works with bold colors and contemporary aesthetics.
Having recently relocated to the Tasmanian countryside, I now enjoy daily opportunities to observe the wildlife and ever-changing landscapes of farmland as they transform with the seasons. It will be interesting to see how the new surroundings influence my artworks.
