Artwork Description

The calm after an inferno, and just prior to a looming storm - ready to send down rains that will extinguish the last stubborn embers. And yet the sea still powers forth with its emerald tinted waves. This is Summer in Australia - extremes in weather, and yet everything still keeps moving.

I have tried to capture the atmospheric haze that blankets everything in this tempestuous weather, with some determined rays of sunshine pushing their way through.

This is artists quality oil paint on stretched canvas. The edges are painted so that it can be hung and enjoyed immediately. however you can shadow-box frame it if you wish.

Art has been written into my soul from a young age.

I paint to understand places and feelings better. At this stage, I follow no definable style, I merely paint from my experiences in the moment. Maybe expressionism is my word.
