Alice

Inspired by the portrait painter Alice Neel, this is a first of what I hope to be a collection of portraits that show people in all of their messy glory and quiet moments.

Oil on canvas, and painted around the sides for immediate hanging. This would however look lovely framed also.

Art has been written into my soul from a young age.

I paint to understand places and feelings better. At this stage, I follow no definable style, I merely paint from my experiences in the moment. Maybe expressionism is my word.
