Traditionally this red headdress called a koofeeyeh was worn by farmers and Bedouins to protect them from the harsh sun in the desert. It is now a symbol of cultural pride and identity, a reminder of history and tradition that still carries on from generation to generation.
This piece was exhibited in the 2018 Fisher's Ghost Art Prize.
This artwork is beautifully float mounted in a white matte frame with UV perspex. It comes fitted with D rings making it easy for wall hanging.
