A ferry ride across Sydney Harbour from the city can take you to a coastal walk in the Sydney Harbour National Park. This walk set in lush greenery is interspersed with the most unique little harbours and beaches. The water is clear and crashes against rock walls. These rocks also sit back slightly from the sand and you can sit in dappled shade from the trees above and look across to the city. I am in awe of the opposites here in that you are present on the exquisite remnant of land that has always been as it is and you are one who inhabits the heat misted city beyond. I feel this painting has grasped the experience of spending time at this place.
