Mixed Media on paper
Signed on the front.
Some years ago I observed a man enter the harbour and he stood for a long time viewing the skyline. I assumed he was a tourist and I wondered what his thoughts were. The setting sun began its orange vibrance and the sea became a muted purple. l left and he had barely moved. I imagine those moments in time remain with him.
I feel this artwork gives a great feeling of atmosphere and distance.
I used charcoal for the body of the man. The rest of the painting is in watercolour with some charcoal.
