Lone hitchhikers are undertaking a dangerous act but what lies behind this decision ? In this case a young woman seems to have left an event, party or home at dusk with no possessions but does not appear solely traumatised, she appears quite determined, even hopeful and free. One arm is held stiff behind her back as if it belongs to the past, the other reaches out to the future.
