While I have always had an interest in art – jewellery making, photography, ceramics and painting, my work commitments never allowed me to truly embrace it...so for many years I had to be satisfied with just playing with it in my spare time.It is only in recent years that time now allows me the luxury to explore, play and develop those passions further.I spent a total of 28 years overseas, mostly in Asia so it is not surprising that my art is heavily influenced by those cultural experiences. I love vibrant colours and finding intrigue in simple objects purely by changing the way I look at things. If I had to label my work I would call it “distorted reality”.I am always challenging myself to try new things and not narrow my style. Instead I work at staying open and allowing the flow of new ideas and experiences to find their way into my work.I work mostly with acrylics, oils and mixed media.
