Artwork Description

Bring calm, light and refined texture into your interior with Luminous Blue, an original oil painting built through hundreds of individually placed mosaic-like brush marks. The composition is layered and luminous, with soft transitions of colour creating a sense of depth, movement and quiet rhythm.
The palette is centred around varying tones of blue—from soft sky and aqua to deeper coastal hues—interwoven with gentle neutrals, pale greens and subtle hints of warmth. The effect is reminiscent of light reflecting across water or drifting through air, with the central area softly illuminated and surrounded by denser clusters of colour.
Created in oil, the texture is formed through delicate, layered brushstrokes, giving the surface a refined tactile quality without heaviness. Up close, intricate details emerge; from a distance, the painting resolves into a serene and cohesive composition.
This nature-inspired abstract offers a tranquil, meditative presence—ideal for contemporary interiors seeking softness, light and a calming atmosphere. Perfect as a statement piece in living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas, as well as in wellness spaces, boutique settings and professional environments.
This is a listing for a single original oil painting on canvas, measuring 91 x 122 × 4 cm.
The artwork can be displayed either vertically or horizontally, allowing it to adapt beautifully to different spaces and interior compositions.
The painting is signed on the back with my full name, the artwork title and the year of creation. The edges are painted a soft neutral grey so it can be displayed unframed for a clean, contemporary finish.

Artist Bio

Tania’s art is about colour, pattern, and texture. Growing up next to the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the heart of Russian art, Tania’s childhood was filled with inspiration. This continued into her early adulthood while living and studying in London, where she enjoyed the plethora of galleries and museums both there and across Europe. During her studies in Architectural Design, Tania built a strong understanding of form and structure, and developed a deep connection with painting. Working as an interior designer had a huge impact on how she viewed art and its role in transforming interior spaces.

“Paintings resonate with people for different reasons: some might be looking for an emotional connection, some to fit a certain space and colour scheme. Artwork can transform spaces more than anything else. It can tie colours that you love together, and fill the space with cosiness and warmth. This is what makes it home.”

Now living on the Gold Coast and enjoying the vibrancy of Australia’s landscapes and culture, Tania’s latest works incorporate mixed media into her oil and acrylic pieces. She finds this further imbues her love of texture and layering into the rich hues of colour that remain at the core of her art.

“Painting for me is a form of meditation. My flower garden is a great inspiration. All sorts of colours mix together and create a wonderful harmony.”
