Artwork Description

Muted Rhythm is a calming abstract diptych inspired by repetition, balance and the quiet cadence found in nature. Created with acrylic paint, each panel is built up through hundreds of carefully placed marks, forming a subtle, tactile surface where texture emerges from the rhythm of the brushwork.
A harmonious palette of soft greens, muted blues, stone greys and warm neutrals flows across both canvases, creating gentle vertical movement and a sense of quiet structure. The layered marks read like soft pulses or echoes, inviting the eye to move slowly across the surface and discover depth within restraint.
This diptych can be displayed together on the same wall for a strong, cohesive statement, or styled separately within the same space to create a connected visual dialogue across a room. It is well suited to contemporary, minimalist and nature-inspired interiors, including living areas, bedrooms, entryways or professional spaces seeking a calm, refined presence.
Each painting measures 91 × 122 × 4 cm. The set is signed on the back with my full name, the title and the year of creation. The edges are painted a soft grey, allowing the works to be hung unframed, though they also pair beautifully with contemporary framing.

Artist Bio

Tania’s art is about colour, pattern, and texture. Growing up next to the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the heart of Russian art, Tania’s childhood was filled with inspiration. This continued into her early adulthood while living and studying in London, where she enjoyed the plethora of galleries and museums both there and across Europe. During her studies in Architectural Design, Tania built a strong understanding of form and structure, and developed a deep connection with painting. Working as an interior designer had a huge impact on how she viewed art and its role in transforming interior spaces.

“Paintings resonate with people for different reasons: some might be looking for an emotional connection, some to fit a certain space and colour scheme. Artwork can transform spaces more than anything else. It can tie colours that you love together, and fill the space with cosiness and warmth. This is what makes it home.”

Now living on the Gold Coast and enjoying the vibrancy of Australia’s landscapes and culture, Tania’s latest works incorporate mixed media into her oil and acrylic pieces. She finds this further imbues her love of texture and layering into the rich hues of colour that remain at the core of her art.

“Painting for me is a form of meditation. My flower garden is a great inspiration. All sorts of colours mix together and create a wonderful harmony.”
