Artwork Description

Bring refined texture and rhythmic movement to your interior with Ocean’s Breath, an original oil painting layered with hundreds of individually placed mosaic-like marks in coastal blues, seafoam greens, soft aquas and gentle neutrals. The shifting clusters of colour create a sense of depth and tide-like motion, evoking light dancing across water and the quiet inhale and exhale of the ocean.
This nature-inspired abstract offers a grounded, meditative presence—perfect for serene interiors, thoughtful design schemes and art lovers drawn to natural palettes and subtle movement. The careful layering and varied mark-making create a tactile, luminous surface that rewards both close viewing and distance appreciation.
This is a listing for an original oil on canvas, measuring 91 × 122 × 4 cm.
The artwork can be displayed either vertically or horizontally, allowing it to adapt beautifully to different spaces and interior compositions.
Ideal as a statement piece in living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas, or in professional settings such as wellness spaces, boutique accommodation and contemporary offices seeking a refined coastal atmosphere.
The painting is signed on the back with my full name, the artwork title and the year of creation. The edges are painted a soft neutral grey so it can be displayed unframed for a clean, contemporary finish.

Artist Bio

Tania’s art is about colour, pattern, and texture. Growing up next to the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the heart of Russian art, Tania’s childhood was filled with inspiration. This continued into her early adulthood while living and studying in London, where she enjoyed the plethora of galleries and museums both there and across Europe. During her studies in Architectural Design, Tania built a strong understanding of form and structure, and developed a deep connection with painting. Working as an interior designer had a huge impact on how she viewed art and its role in transforming interior spaces.

“Paintings resonate with people for different reasons: some might be looking for an emotional connection, some to fit a certain space and colour scheme. Artwork can transform spaces more than anything else. It can tie colours that you love together, and fill the space with cosiness and warmth. This is what makes it home.”

Now living on the Gold Coast and enjoying the vibrancy of Australia’s landscapes and culture, Tania’s latest works incorporate mixed media into her oil and acrylic pieces. She finds this further imbues her love of texture and layering into the rich hues of colour that remain at the core of her art.

“Painting for me is a form of meditation. My flower garden is a great inspiration. All sorts of colours mix together and create a wonderful harmony.”
