Artwork Description

Bring a sense of calm movement and gentle rhythm to your interior with Soft Drift, an original acrylic painting inspired by falling rain, drifting light and the quiet beauty of natural patterns. Layers of hand-painted circular marks cascade across the canvas, creating a flowing composition that feels both soothing and dynamic.
The palette combines soft blue, aqua, mist grey, ivory and white tones, creating a serene and airy atmosphere. Repeated marks and subtle tonal variations produce depth and movement, while the textured surface catches changing light throughout the day.
Created with acrylic and texture paste on canvas, the artwork features rich tactile detail and layered surfaces that invite closer inspection. The combination of texture and colour gives the painting a contemporary yet organic character, equally suited to modern, coastal and relaxed luxury interiors.
This artwork is part of a curated collection of four related paintings designed to work beautifully together. Each piece can be displayed individually or combined with others from the series to create a larger installation. Different combinations are available in separate listings.
Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, offices, wellness spaces and boutique commercial interiors, Soft Drift brings softness, movement and a calming visual presence to a space.
This is a listing for one original acrylic painting on canvas, measuring 61 × 91 × 4 cm.
The artwork can be displayed either vertically or horizontally, allowing it to adapt beautifully to different spaces and interior compositions.
The painting is signed on the back with my full name, the artwork title and the year of creation. The edges are painted a light neutral grey, allowing it to be displayed framed or unframed.

Artist Bio

Tania’s art is about colour, pattern, and texture. Growing up next to the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the heart of Russian art, Tania’s childhood was filled with inspiration. This continued into her early adulthood while living and studying in London, where she enjoyed the plethora of galleries and museums both there and across Europe. During her studies in Architectural Design, Tania built a strong understanding of form and structure, and developed a deep connection with painting. Working as an interior designer had a huge impact on how she viewed art and its role in transforming interior spaces.

“Paintings resonate with people for different reasons: some might be looking for an emotional connection, some to fit a certain space and colour scheme. Artwork can transform spaces more than anything else. It can tie colours that you love together, and fill the space with cosiness and warmth. This is what makes it home.”

Now living on the Gold Coast and enjoying the vibrancy of Australia’s landscapes and culture, Tania’s latest works incorporate mixed media into her oil and acrylic pieces. She finds this further imbues her love of texture and layering into the rich hues of colour that remain at the core of her art.

“Painting for me is a form of meditation. My flower garden is a great inspiration. All sorts of colours mix together and create a wonderful harmony.”
