Bush Baby

One day while bush walking in my local area I came across a group of wild kangaroos. They are such beautiful, magnificent Australian animals and I am always grateful when we cross paths. I photographed a young Joey and used the reference photo to paint my picture.

I collected gum leaves and other foliage from the area for inspiration for the background. The colours greens, greys and wattle yellow represent the colours of the Australian bush.
